Agency Shop Campaign

During July 2003 our committee along with President Rohl started a campaign to get all agency shop payers signed up as union members. The initial list included over 400 non-members. A letter and a membership card was sent to all of these perspective members. This worked great and lowered our agency shop list to around 150. Now we need all our Unit Presidents to do their part.

I am asking all Unit Presidents to assist us with this campaign. You know your members, agency shop payers and new hires signed up. Please make it a point to sign up all new employees upon their hiring. Lets not leave them in limbo.

There are many advantages to being a member including; CSEA members only benefits, discount buying, education benefits, insurance, financial services and many more. Also as a member you carry voting rights for all CSEA elections.

We would like to thank those Unit Presidents that have gotten their Agency Shop payer to become members. Their are still about 150 members that are still not signed up. We need the Presidents of these Non-Members to try harder to get these members signed up. We are 3/4 away there.

Great Job!!!!!
